Mady is incredibly excited to be working as a Staff Director for MET2! She has been involved with the program for over ten years, beginning as a student and dedicating her high school career as a performer and as a Student Teaching Volunteer. Mady was recognized as the National Youth Art’s “Artist of the Year” in 2012 for her performances in MET2’s productions of Annie as “Miss Hannigan,” “The King” in Big River, and “Gertrude McFuzz” in Seussical, The Musical.
After completing Santa Susana High School as a vocal music student, Mady received MET2’s Alex H. Urban Scholarship, which helped make her dream of attending school in New York become a possibility.
Mady attended Wagner College where she received dual Bachelors of Arts degrees in Psychology and Theater Studies. During her time at Wagner, Mady was the Music Director and Choreographer for the award-winning a cappella group Vocal Synergy. As Music Director she led educational workshops in music and dance for K-12 students across the country. During school breaks, Mady was welcomed back to MET2 as a guest performer, where she most recently received a National Youth Arts Award for her portrayal of “Mama” in Bye Bye Birdie.
Now back home in the San Fernando Valley, Mady is continuing her work in the arts as a specialist teaching associate at Abraham Joshua Heschel Day School and with MET2. Having grown up in MET2 from the age of eight, Mady is thrilled to have the opportunity to provide today’s youth with an experience of their own, in a company that has such a special place in her heart.
